Hubbell 20 A Locking Receptacle

The Hubbell HBL7410BG is a non-NEMA locking receptacle rated for 20 A. It uses a 3-pole, 4-wire configuration housed in a black, high-impact nylon face. The device suits industrial or commercial power connections where secure locking engagement is required.

Wiring and Voltage Compatibility

Verify that your supply matches the 3-pole, 4-wire layout and the voltage indicated by the face colour coding. The terminal design accepts both back and side wiring with a built-in wire restraint recess. Ensure your enclosure and mounting hardware suit the all-brass grounding system.

Durability and Thermal Behaviour

The nylon front resists impact and abuse in demanding environments. Brass mounting and grounding components provide a low-resistance ground path and resist corrosion better than steel alternatives. Normal operation stays within the 20 A rating without special cooling requirements.

How does the wire restraint recess on the HBL7410BG affect installation reliability?

The recess accepts both back and side wiring and greatly reduces the possibility of terminal connections loosening over time.
