Hubbell HBL7459V Weatherproof Boot

This Hubbell HBL7459V weatherproof boot protects 15 A two-wire devices in damp locations. It is rated IP55 for resistance to moisture and dust. The elastomer housing operates from -40 °C to 75 °C. The accessory carries CSA and UL certifications for code compliance.

Simple push-on installation

The boot slips over a compatible 15 A device and seals without tools. Its short length of 2.200 units keeps the profile compact inside tight boxes. The only common issue is forgetting to verify that the mating connector is also two-wire; a three-wire plug will not seat correctly.

Covers one 15 A two-wire connection

The boot handles a single 15 A circuit in wet or dusty environments. It stops moisture ingress at the face of the device. It does not increase the ampacity of the circuit or provide GFCI protection. Builders needing to shield higher-amperage or three-wire receptacles must select a different model.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the HBL7459V boot is sealing correctly after installation?

Verify the elastomer boot fits tightly over the 2-wire device with no visible gaps; the IP55 rating ensures moisture resistance when the short-length boot is fully seated on a 15 A connector.

What comes in the package and what must be purchased separately?

The box contains only the black weatherproof boot (overall length 3.67 in., weight 0.15 lb); the compatible 15 A, 2-wire wiring device is sold separately.

Which version of this boot should I choose for a 15 A, 2-wire device?

Select the HBL7459V model — it is CSA certified, UL listed, rated IP55, and operates from -40 °C to 75 °C, matching a 15 A, 2-wire device exactly.
