Hubbell Incorporated HBL7717C Long Boot 50A Twist-Lock IP55 Black 5.288 in

Weatherproof boot for 50 A twist-lock devices

This black elastomer boot carries an IP55 rating and fits 50 ampere locking connectors. It seals the connection against moisture while operating from minus 40 to 75 degrees Celsius. The long profile adds 5.288 inches of coverage over the plug body. Builders running temporary power distribution outdoors use it to keep contacts dry.

Fits directly over the locking connector

The boot slips onto a compatible 50 A twist-lock plug without tools or extra hardware. Its elastomer construction stays flexible in cold weather and resists cracking at high temperature. No separate gasket or clamp is required because the moulded profile compresses against the device housing. This frees the installer from taping or wrapping the joint in wet conditions.

Replaces standard short boots on 50 A circuits

When the existing boot is torn, missing or too short to cover the cable entry, this long version restores the IP55 seal. The upgrade is worth it whenever the cord sees standing water, wash-down spray or repeated flexing at the connector. It does not suit lower-amperage twist-lock devices or non-locking plugs.
