Hospital-Grade 20A 125V Plug

The Hubbell HBL8315C is a straight-blade plug rated for 20 amps at 125 volts AC. It uses a 5-20P configuration with two poles and three wires. The body is moulded from nylon and carries a hospital-grade listing. The cord-grip range accepts diameters from .230 to .720 inches.

Wiring Professionals and Facility Managers

This plug suits electricians and maintenance teams who need a durable, corrosion-resistant connection in healthcare or commercial settings. The IP20 rating and 1 HP motor rating support typical equipment loads. Buyers who require antimicrobial surfaces, higher IP protection, or a different voltage and amperage combination should look at other devices.

Straightforward Field Installation

Wiring follows the standard 5-20P layout with clearly marked terminals for line, neutral, and ground. The hook-and-loop closure secures the cord without tools once the conductors are landed. The most common issue is stripping the conductors to the correct length so that no bare copper remains exposed after the housing is closed.
