Industrial Grade 300 A Single Pole Plug

This industrial grade straight blade plug is rated 300 A at 250 V DC and 600 V AC. The Insulgrip style housing provides superior gripping for secure handling. It uses a single conductor design with double set screws for termination. The device is manufactured in China by Wiring Device-Kellems.

Suited for High Current DC and AC Connections

This plug suits installers who need a heavy duty single pole male connector for 300 A circuits. Buyers who require a female receptacle or a multi-pole configuration should look at other products. The white housing identifies this specific variant in the range.

300 A Current Rating Decides Fit

The 300 A rating is the single specification that determines whether this plug matches the circuit demand. Verify the conductor size and set screw compatibility before installation. The 250 V DC and 600 V AC voltage ratings must also align with the system design.

Questions about this item

How long can the 300 A rating be sustained before the plug overheats?

The rating is 300 A at 250 V DC or 600 V AC; sustained use at that level depends on conductor size, ambient temperature and duty cycle, which are not defined by the plug itself.

Does the white Insulgrip housing get hot or make noise when carrying full load all day?

The plug has no moving parts or fan, so it produces no noise; housing temperature will follow the conductor temperature and ambient conditions during continuous 300 A operation.

What cable size and termination method are required for the double set screws to hold securely?

The plug accepts a single conductor secured by two set screws; the exact conductor gauge and preparation steps are determined by the installation code and cable used.
