Straight nylon cord grip provides liquid-tight strain relief for 0.38" to 0.50" cables with 3/4" MNPT threads
The Hubbell Incorporated Liquid Tight Cord Connector accepts flexible cord diameters from .38 to .50 inches and terminates them with a 3/4 inch male NPT thread. Its straight nylon body provides a liquid-tight seal and strain relief for cable entries in wet or dry locations. Installers can tighten the connector using a screwdriver or pliers when access is restricted.
As a passive nylon fitting the connector generates no heat, produces no audible noise and draws no electrical power during normal operation. The material resists moisture ingress and maintains its seal across the specified cord range without active cooling or energy consumption. Performance remains stable in both wet and dry environments.
Under continuous mechanical strain the nylon housing retains its grip and the liquid-tight seal remains intact without degradation. The connector does not rely on moving parts or thermal cycles so long-term reliability is consistent with the rated cord diameter range. No change in sealing or strain relief occurs during extended use.

Thread the 3/4" MNPT end into the enclosure, insert the cord through the .38 to .50 inch range, then tighten the nylon gland nut with a screwdriver or pliers to compress the seal; the step often missed is fully tightening the gland nut to achieve the liquid-tight rating.
Inspect the nylon body and sealing gland periodically for UV degradation, cracking, or compression set; replace the entire connector if the seal no longer prevents liquid ingress or if the cord shows damage at the entry point.
The .38 to .50 inch cord diameter range is the primary limit; using a cord outside this range prevents the gland from sealing properly, causing liquid ingress before the nylon material itself fails.
