Purpose and fit

This Hubbell liquid-tight cord connector accepts a single cable between .50 in and .63 in diameter and threads onto a 3/4 in MNPT box entry. The 90-degree nylon body routes the cord at a right angle while the brown gland identifies the clamping range at a glance. It is suited for installers who need a watertight seal where flexible cord enters an enclosure.

What to verify

Confirm that the cord you plan to use falls within the .50 in to .63 in diameter range so the gland can seal correctly. Ensure the enclosure provides a 3/4 in MNPT threaded opening and that the 1 5/8 in overall length clears any internal obstructions. The connector is insulated and carries CSA LR27378 and UL E54218 listings for code compliance.

Build and daily use

The gray nylon body resists corrosion and impact in damp or outdoor locations, and the integrated strain relief grips the cord without an external clamp. Because the gland is moulded in brown, technicians can spot the correct size quickly during inspection or maintenance. The fixed 90-degree angle keeps the cable close to the box, reducing snag risk in tight conduit runs.

Questions about this item

What cords fit the 0.50 in to 0.63 in diameter range on the NHC1036CR?

The connector accepts a single cord with an outer diameter between 0.50 in and 0.63 in. No external strain relief is included or required.

When should I choose the 90-degree brown version over a straight connector?

Choose the 90-degree style when the cable must turn sharply at a 3/4 in MNPT enclosure entry, and the brown gland colour matches your coding scheme.

How far does the 1 5/8 in box-to-end length protrude inside the cabinet?

The connector extends 1 5/8 in from the 3/4 in MNPT threads into the enclosure, so allow that clearance when routing the cord to terminals.
