Hubbell 90° 1" Conduit Fitting

The Hubbell P1009NBK is a 90-degree insulated conduit fitting designed for trade size 1-inch flexible liquid-tight non-metallic conduit. It suits electricians and installers routing conduit into enclosures where a right-angle turn is required. The black nylon body provides corrosion resistance for indoor and outdoor use.

Check Conduit Type and Knockout Size

Verify that the existing conduit is flexible liquid-tight non-metallic conduit with a 1-inch trade size. The fitting connects to a 1-inch MNPT threaded entry or a compatible 1-inch knockout. No strain-relief mesh or external grounding lug is included, so confirm those features are not required by the installation code.

Replaces Straight or Damaged 90° Connectors

This fitting replaces a straight connector when a 90-degree bend saves space or reduces conduit stress. It also replaces a worn or cracked 90-degree fitting of the same trade size. The upgrade is worth it when the current connector lacks an insulated throat or is not rated for indoor and outdoor exposure.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the P1009NBK and is anything else needed for installation?

The fitting itself is supplied; you will need compatible 1 in flexible liquid-tight non-metallic conduit and a 1 in knockout in the enclosure to complete the connection.

The catalogue lists a 90 degree version — when would I choose that over a straight connector?

Choose the 90 degree style when the conduit run must turn sharply at the box entry, saving space and reducing bend radius on the non-metallic conduit.

What does the 1 in trade size mean once the fitting is mounted in a panel?

It matches a 1 in knockout and accepts 1 in flexible liquid-tight non-metallic conduit, giving a liquid-tight seal for indoor or outdoor use.
