PVC Material and Standards Compliance

The PVC body resists everyday wear and does not require active cooling or power. Operation is completely silent because the flange has no moving parts or electronics. It draws no electricity and adds no heat to the surrounding area. Normal use involves only occasional foot traffic over the installed cover.

Questions about this item

How is the PFBRFGY2 carpet flange installed and what step is often missed?

The flange fits into a rectangular two-gang floor-box opening and is secured with the supplied screws; the step often missed is seating the carpet tabs fully into the flange groove before tightening so the carpet lies flat.

What maintenance or replacement will the PFBRFGY2 need over time?

The PVC construction resists cracking and discoloration, so no scheduled maintenance is required; replacement is only necessary if physical damage occurs or the carpet is changed and a different colour flange is desired.
