RACO 1005 Locknut for 1-1/4 in Conduit

This zinc-plated steel locknut secures threaded RMC and IMC conduit in electrical installations. It meets CSA and UL standards for use with compatible fittings. The part is new and ships in a gray finish. It suits electricians and contractors fastening 1-1/4 in trade-size conduit.

1-1/4 in Trade Size Compatibility

The locknut fits only conduit and fittings rated for 1-1/4 in trade size. Using it with any other diameter will prevent a code-compliant connection. Verify the conduit marking before ordering.

Threaded Installation with Included Clamp

The nut threads onto RMC or IMC by hand and tightens with standard wrenches. The supplied clamp assists alignment during fastening. Cross-threading or over-torquing can damage the threads and compromise the ground path.

Questions about this item

What does the 1-1/4 in trade size mean when I install this locknut?

Which standards does the zinc-plated steel locknut meet?

It is UL Listed and CSA Certified for use with threaded rigid metal and intermediate metal conduit.

What physical space does the 2 1/16 in overall length require?

The nut needs 2 1/16 in of axial clearance on the threaded conduit end to seat fully against the box or fitting.
