RACO 2846 EMT Grounding Connector
This compression fitting connects four-inch EMT conduit to a grounded electrical system. It is built from zinc alloy with a plain grey finish and carries CSA and UL listings for code-compliant installations.
Check conduit trade size and thread compatibility
Verify that the existing raceway is four-inch EMT and that the enclosure accepts a four-inch NPS threaded hub. The connector is not insulated and requires a straight, threaded connection orientation.
Thermals noise and power draw
As a passive metal fitting the connector generates no heat, produces no audible noise and draws no electrical power during normal operation. Its zinc body dissipates any incidental warmth from the conductors without active cooling.

Questions about this item
What comes in the box with the RACO 2846 EMT grounding connector and is anything else needed for installation?
The connector is supplied as a single compression fitting; locknuts, bushings or conduit sections are not included and must be purchased separately.
How do I decide between the available versions of this 4 in EMT connector?
Only the plain gray zinc-alloy version with NPS threads is offered, so there is no capacity or finish choice to make.
What does the 1.97 lb weight mean when the connector is mounted in a real raceway?
It adds roughly two pounds to the conduit run, which is light enough for standard supports but should be counted in total fill calculations.
