EMT Grounding Connector 3/4 in

The Hubbell RACO 2903RT is a compression conduit connector made of steel with a zinc-plated finish. It fits EMT conduit of trade size 3/4 in and provides a straight connection orientation. The connector includes a clamp and is cULus listed to UL 514B for grounding applications.

Practical limits of compression EMT fittings

Compression connectors rely on mechanical tightening rather than threads, so installation requires proper tool torque to achieve a reliable ground path. The fitting is not insulated, so it must be used where the metal body can contact the conduit and enclosure. UL 514B listing confirms compliance for EMT use only.

Build quality and daily implications

Steel construction with zinc plating resists corrosion in typical indoor and dry outdoor locations. Overall dimensions of 1 25/32 in length by 1 11/32 in height by 1 1/4 in width allow it to fit standard knockout openings. The 0.95 in inside diameter accepts the conduit smoothly, and the blue-gray color coding aids quick identification on the job site.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the blue or the gray version of this 3/4 in EMT grounding connector?

Both colours identify the same 3/4 in compression connector; the finish is zinc-plated steel and performance is identical.

What does the 1 25/32 in overall length mean when the connector is installed in a conduit run?

It measures the total straight length the fitting adds to the raceway, so allow that space when planning box fill and conduit alignment.

How does the cULus listing to UL 514B affect what this compression connector can be used for?

The listing confirms the fitting meets the safety standard for conduit connectors and permits use with EMT in accordance with the code.
