What it is and who it is for

The RACO 2908RT is a zinc-plated steel compression connector for 2 in EMT conduit. It provides a straight, insulated-free joint that is cULus listed to UL 514B. Electricians and contractors use it to join or terminate EMT runs in commercial and industrial wiring systems.

What to check before ordering

Verify that your conduit is 2 in trade size EMT and that the application permits a non-insulated compression fitting. The connector has an inside diameter of 2.2 in and an outside diameter of 2.78 in. Confirm that the straight orientation and the 2 13/32 in overall length suit the available space in the enclosure or junction box.

How it fits into a build

The connector weighs 0.56 lb and measures 2 3/4 in high by 2 19/32 in wide, so it occupies minimal room inside a panel. Its compression design eliminates the need for separate set-screw hardware, freeing up installation time. The included clamp secures the conduit without additional parts, and the blue-gray color mapping aids quick visual identification on site.

Questions about this item

Does the RACO 2908RT include any conduit or mounting hardware?

The connector is supplied with an integral clamp; conduit and mounting screws must be sourced separately.

How do I choose between the blue and grey finish options on this 2 in EMT connector?

Both colours identify the same zinc-plated steel fitting; select the colour that matches your existing conduit coding.

What does the 2.2 in inside diameter mean when terminating EMT in a panel?

It accepts 2 in trade-size EMT so the conduit seats fully before the compression nut is tightened.
