1-1/2 in EMT Compression Coupling

This steel coupling joins two lengths of 1-1/2 in EMT conduit in a straight line. The compression design secures each conduit end without threading. It is cULus Listed to UL 514B for electrical installations. The zinc-plated finish resists corrosion in indoor and outdoor locations.

Dimensions and installation limits

Overall length measures 2 25/32 in, overall height 2 9/32 in and overall width 2 1/8 in. Inside diameter is 1.74 in and outside diameter 2.31 in. The fitting weighs .51 lb. A clamp is included for the compression connection. The straight orientation requires linear alignment of both conduit runs.

Replaces threaded or set-screw couplings

Use this coupling when a faster, tool-free compression joint is preferred over threaded fittings. The jump is worth it on jobs where conduit must be joined quickly and reworked later. It is not for rigid conduit, IMC or PVC systems that require different fitting types.
