The Hubbell RACO 3412 is a straight steel fitting electro-zinc plated for corrosion resistance. It connects three-inch flexible liquid-tight metallic or non-metallic Type B conduit to a three-inch MNPT box entry. The grey iron and steel construction suits industrial and commercial wiring installations.

Check Conduit Type And Box Thread Before Fitting

Verify that the existing conduit is flexible liquid-tight metallic or non-metallic Type B with a three-inch trade size. Confirm the enclosure provides a matching three-inch MNPT threaded hub for the straight connector orientation. The fitting includes no insulated throat or strain-relief mesh.

Steel Body Handles Heat And Mechanical Stress

The all-metal body conducts heat away from conductors and resists crushing or impact in normal service. No moving parts or seals generate audible noise during operation. Power draw is not applicable to this passive conduit fitting.

Questions about this item

Does the RACO 3412 fitting include a locknut and sealing ring, or must they be ordered separately?

The fitting is supplied as a single connector; locknuts and sealing rings are not included and must be purchased separately if required for the installation.

Should I select the 3 in trade-size version for a 3 in MNPT box connection?

Yes, the 3 in trade-size matches a 3 in MNPT box connection and fits both flexible liquid-tight metallic and non-metallic Type B conduit of the same trade size.

What does the 3 in trade size mean when the fitting is installed on conduit?

It indicates the fitting accepts 3 in trade-size flexible liquid-tight conduit and threads into a 3 in MNPT opening, providing a straight, liquid-tight connection without strain-relief mesh.
