Purpose and fit

The Raco 4702-1 is a straight nylon cord connector for 1/2 in MNPT box entries. It accepts a single cord with a diameter between .06 in and .13 in. The green gland and gray body provide visual identification. It is suited to panel builders and electricians terminating small flexible cords in dry or damp locations.

Cable range and standard

The connector covers a narrow cord diameter window of .06 in to .13 in, so thicker cables cannot be sealed. No external strain relief is fitted, meaning the cord relies on the gland compression alone. The assembly is listed to UL 514B, confirming compliance for box-mounted fittings.

Build and daily use

The nylon body resists corrosion and impact in typical indoor environments. Insulated construction reduces the risk of accidental contact with live parts. The 1 1/2 in length from box face to connector end keeps the profile compact inside enclosures. The straight style simplifies wiring in tight cabinets.
