Straight aluminum cord connector accepts .50 to .63 inch cable and fits 1/2 inch MNPT box entries, UL 514B listed
This Hubbell Raco 4802-5 wire cap connector accepts cords from .50 to .63 inches in diameter and fits a 1/2 inch MNPT box connection. It is built for electricians and installers who need a straight aluminium connector for single-cord entry. The brown gland colour code and silver body allow quick visual identification on site. It is not for buyers who need insulated connectors or external strain-relief components.
As a passive aluminium fitting, the connector generates no heat, produces no noise and draws no electrical power during normal operation. Its sole thermal role is to withstand the ambient temperature of the enclosure in which it is installed. No active cooling or power budgeting is required. It is not for applications that demand integrated temperature monitoring or active thermal management.
The connector is listed to UL 514B, the single specification that confirms it meets the safety requirements for conduit and cable fittings in electrical installations. Inspectors and specifiers rely on this listing to approve the fitting for use in inspected work. It is not for projects that require a different UL or CSA standard.

Thread the aluminum body straight onto the 1/2 in MNPT opening, then insert the cord through the gland and tighten the compression nut until the .50 to .63 in cord is gripped evenly.
The brown compression gland is the wear point; if the cord cycles frequently, the gland can lose grip and should be swapped for a new one.
The rating covers the .50 to .63 in cord range and mechanical securement; sustained pull or vibration beyond normal strain relief capacity is the first limit encountered.
