3-Gang Masonry Box for Block Walls
This three-gang masonry electrical box provides 67.3 cu. in. of internal volume for wiring in concrete or block construction. It is built for 6, 8, and 10 in. block walls and accepts standard wall plates with 6-32 tapped device holes. The welded steel body will not fall apart during installation.
Rugged Welded Construction and Knockout Layout
Nineteen concentric 1/2 in. and 3/4 in. knockouts give multiple entry options without extra drilling. Device ears inside the box keep mortar out of the mounting holes while work progresses. The rectangular shape matches square cuts in block for a clean fit.
Partition Compatibility and Gang Range
Steel voltage partition 971 fits this 3-1/2 in. deep box to separate circuits when required. The same design is available from one to six gangs in both 2-1/2 in. and 3-1/2 in. depths for consistent rough-in across a project.

Questions about this item
How is the RACO 697 box secured inside a masonry block wall, and what step do installers often miss?
The rectangular box fits a square cut in 6, 8 or 10 in. block walls; the step often missed is fitting the steel voltage partition #971 before pulling wires so low-voltage and power circuits stay separated.
What part of the RACO 697 box will need attention or replacement after the wall is finished?
The 19 concentric 1/2 & 3/4 in. knockouts are removed once; the remaining 6-32 tapped device ears and welded steel body require no maintenance, only standard wall plates for cover.
What capacity limit of the 67.3 cu. in. box is reached first when multiple circuits are pulled through?
The 67.3 cu. in. volume fills quickly with three gangs of devices and 19 conduit entries; the cubic-inch limit is reached before the 6-32 mounting holes or knockout count become constraints.
