2-Gang GFCI Box Cover

The Hubbell RACO 809C is a galvanised steel cover designed for square electrical boxes. It provides a GFCI receptacle opening across two gangs and is intended for installers needing a durable, code-compliant finish on surface or flush-mounted boxes.

Practical limits of a 2-gang GFCI cover

The cover fits standard 4-inch square boxes with a 1/2-inch raised depth and includes mounting screws. It is UL listed but not gasketed, so it suits dry or damp indoor locations rather than wet or exterior environments requiring a weatherproof seal.

Galvanised steel construction

The galvanised steel body resists corrosion in typical indoor electrical installations. Buyers who need a non-metallic or weatherproof gasketed cover for outdoor or wet locations should select a different product type.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 2-gang GFCI cover or a single-gang version?

Select the 2-gang cover when your square box houses two devices; a single-gang cover only fits one opening.

How does the 1/2 in raised depth affect installation in a finished wall?

The 1/2 in raised profile lets the GFCI receptacles sit flush with tile or drywall surfaces without recessing the box deeper.

What does the UL listing cover for this galvanized steel cover?

The UL mark confirms the cover meets safety standards for use with GFCI receptacles in damp or wet locations.
