Six-gang steel box for large junction runs

The RACO 945 provides 150 cu in of wiring space across six gangs, giving electricians the volume needed for multiple circuits and splices in commercial or heavy residential work. Galvanized steel construction resists corrosion in damp locations while meeting CM, RoHS and UL Listed standards. It is not suited for single-gang retrofit jobs or shallow wall cavities where a smaller box would fit.

Knockout layout handles heavy conduit entry

Ten 1 in. side knockouts and sixteen 3/4 in. side knockouts allow dense conduit feeds from the sides, while six 1/2 in. and four 3/4 in. back knockouts support rear cable entry. No 1/2 in. side knockouts are provided, so plan conduit sizes accordingly. The pattern runs out when a project demands more than the listed openings or requires combination sizes not present.

Galvanized finish and mounting ears for surface work

The gray galvanized coating protects the steel during installation and service life in exposed or humid environments. Mounting ears on the 14 1/16 in. width enable direct surface attachment to studs or masonry without additional brackets. The 2 1/2 in. nominal depth limits use in thin partitions or tight stud bays where a shallower box is required.
