Conduit Outlet Body T-Style 1 in

The Raco conduit outlet body provides a T-shaped junction for pulling or splicing conductors in IMC or RMC raceways. Its 1 in trade size matches 1 in threaded hubs on both conduit types. The flat back and powder-coated aluminum finish suit surface-mounted runs in dry or damp locations. Five pieces are supplied per pack.

Threaded Hub Interface Limits

The three threaded hubs accept only 1 in IMC or RMC conduit; other trade sizes or conduit types such as EMT or PVC cannot connect without adapters. The 12 cu in body capacity sets the maximum conductor fill, so wire count and gauge must stay within that volume. No hazardous-location rating is present, restricting use to ordinary areas.

Aluminum Construction Day-to-Day

Powder-coated aluminum resists corrosion while keeping weight at .453 lb per fitting, easing overhead installation. Threaded connections require wrench tightening, so clear access to each hub is needed during assembly. The flat back mounts flush against walls or panels, and the silver color mapping aids visual identification in crowded conduit banks.

Questions about this item

Which trade size should I choose for my conduit run?

This outlet body is built for 1 in trade size conduit, matching IMC and RMC with a 1 in hub and threaded connection.

What does the 12 cu in body capacity mean when I'm pulling wires?

The 12 cu in T‑style cavity gives you room for splices or pulls in a 1 in IMC or RMC run without crowding the conductors.

How does the threaded hub interface affect installation?

The three threaded hubs accept 1 in IMC or RMC directly, so you thread the conduit into each hub and secure with locknuts — no special tools needed.
