Raco Nylon Wire Cap Connector 4702-6

This straight liquid-tight cord connector is built for electrical installations that require a secure seal on a single cable. The nylon body resists corrosion and provides insulated protection for the connection point. It fits a standard 1/2 inch MNPT box opening and is UL 514B listed for safety compliance. The brown gland colour code identifies the cord range at a glance.

For indoor and outdoor junction boxes needing

Installers running one cable between .50 and .63 inches in diameter will find the gland range matches common flexible cords. The connector has no external strain relief, so it suits applications where the box or enclosure provides the primary support. Buyers who need an external strain relief fitting or a multi-cord entry should look at a different style of connector.

Cord diameter range .50 to .63 inches decides fit

The gland accepts cables only within this specific window, so measuring the cord outer diameter before ordering is essential. A cable smaller than .50 inches will not seal, and a cable larger than .63 inches will not enter the connector. This single dimensional constraint determines whether the 4702-6 is the correct part for the job.
