Conduit Body for IMC and RMC Raceways

This RACO conduit outlet body connects 1 1/4 inch threaded IMC or RMC raceways in a C-shaped configuration. The aluminum housing provides a 30.8 cubic inch internal capacity for pulling and splicing conductors. Two threaded hubs allow straight-through or angled routing in dry locations.

Threaded Hub Limits and Hazardous Rating

The 1 1/4 inch trade size matches only conduit of the same diameter, so larger or smaller raceways cannot be used. Threaded connections require compatible conduit ends and cannot accept compression or set-screw fittings. The body is not rated for hazardous locations, restricting use to general-purpose indoor or outdoor installations.

30.8 cu in Fill Capacity and Two-Piece Pack

The 30.8 cubic inch volume accommodates multiple conductors up to the fill limits of the applicable electrical code. Each package contains two bodies weighing 0.821 lb each, suited for paired installations or spares. Capacity is reached when the permitted number of wires fills the internal space, requiring a larger body for additional circuits.

Questions about this item

Is the RC125 sold as a single fitting or a multi-pack?

The listing supplies two pieces per order, so you receive a pair of C-style conduit outlet bodies.

What does the 30.8 cu in body capacity mean for wire fill?

It provides 30.8 cubic inches of internal volume, letting you pull and splice the maximum conductor count allowed for 1 1/4 inch IMC or RMC.

How does the 1 1/4 inch threaded hub limit conduit choice?

The hubs accept only 1 1/4 inch trade-size IMC or RMC conduit; smaller or larger conduit will not thread onto the fitting.
