Hubbell RACO RC150 Conduit Outlet Body

The Hubbell RACO RC150 is a Type C conduit outlet body made from powder-coated aluminum for IMC and RMC raceway systems. It provides a threaded 1 1/2 in hub connection for pulling or splicing conductors in commercial and industrial electrical installations. The flat-back design mounts flush against surfaces while the silver finish resists corrosion in dry or damp locations. This two-piece assembly suits electricians who need reliable access points in rigid metal conduit runs.

Two-piece set with 30.8 cu in capacity

The package contains two identical outlet bodies, each offering 30.8 cubic inches of internal wiring space for conductor fill compliance. Threaded hubs on both ends accept 1 1/2 in trade-size conduit without additional couplings, reducing installation time. Powder coating protects the aluminum from oxidation while maintaining grounding continuity through the threaded joints. The C-style body shape allows straight-through pulls with a removable cover for inspection or future modifications.

Trade size 1 1/2 in hub compatibility

This outlet body fits only 1 1/2 in trade-size IMC or RMC conduit; it will not connect to EMT, PVC or smaller metric sizes without adapters not included here. The 30.8 cu in volume limits the number and gauge of conductors permitted by code, so installers must verify fill calculations before specifying. Buyers needing larger capacity, different hub angles or hazardous-location ratings must select another series.

Questions about this item

Will the powder-coated aluminum body need re-coating after years of outdoor exposure?

The powder-coated finish resists corrosion, but re-coating may be needed if the coating is scratched or worn through in harsh environments.

What limits continuous wire-pulling through this 30.8 cu in C-style body?

The 30.8 cubic inch capacity sets the maximum fill; exceeding it makes pulling difficult and violates code.

Does the aluminum body run hot when carrying maximum fill conductors all day?

Aluminum dissipates heat well; the body stays near ambient temperature under normal continuous loads.
