Hubbell S3079 Carpet Flange

The Hubbell S3079 is a round carpet flange moulded from clear polycarbonate for use with floor box assemblies. It provides a finished trim around the box opening while allowing the carpet to sit flush with the surface. The transparent material blends with a variety of floor coverings without drawing attention to the installation. This accessory is intended for indoor electrical projects that require a low-profile, non-metallic flange.

Suits installers fitting floor boxes under carpet

This flange suits electricians and installers fitting floor boxes beneath carpeted floors where a clear, non-metallic trim is specified. It is not for installations that require a metal flange, a different diameter, or a coloured finish to match a specific décor. Buyers needing a flange for tile, wood or other hard-surface coverings should look at alternative trims designed for those materials. Projects requiring fire-rated or metallic components will need a different product.

Questions about this item

What floor box is required for the S3079 carpet flange to attach to?

The S3079 carpet flange mounts onto a compatible Hubbell floor box; verify your box model accepts a 5 1/4 inch diameter polycarbonate flange before installation.

Will the clear polycarbonate flange match my existing brass or stainless steel floor box covers?

The S3079 flange is moulded in clear polycarbonate, so its transparent finish differs visually from metal covers; plan the aesthetic accordingly when mixing with older hardware.
