Product identity

Hubbell Incorporated SECP21BA is a straight PG21 cable connector in black nylon. It provides a liquid-tight seal for a single cord with a diameter between 0.45 in and 0.71 in. The male thread mounts directly into a PG21 box opening and measures 1.89 in from box face to connector end.

Suitable users and limits

Installers who need a compact, insulated gland for PG21 enclosures will find this part fits the requirement. It carries CSA C 22.2 No. 18, UL 514B and VDE approvals for code-compliant work. Buyers who need an external strain-relief component or a different thread standard should look at other options.

Deciding specification

The PG21 thread size is the single detail that determines whether this connector matches your enclosure. Verify that the box or panel uses a PG21 opening before ordering.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the Hubbell SECP21BA connector and what must I source separately?

The package contains the straight PG21 nylon cord connector with integrated gland. You must supply your own cable whose outside diameter falls between 0.45 in and 0.71 in, plus any locknuts or washers required for the enclosure.

Should I choose the PG21 version or a different thread size for my panel cutout?

Select the PG21 model only when the enclosure has a PG21 threaded entry; the connector body is 1.89 in long from box face to end and cannot adapt to other thread standards.

What does the 0.45 in to 0.71 in cord-diameter range mean once the connector is installed?

It defines the cable outside diameters the internal gland can compress to achieve a liquid-tight seal; cables thinner than 0.45 in or thicker than 0.71 in will not seal to UL 514B and CSA C22.2 No. 18 requirements.
