Application & Purpose

The Hubbell SHC1034 is a liquid-tight cord connector designed for electrical installations that require a secure, weather-resistant seal. It suits contractors and maintenance teams running a single cable through a 3/4 inch MNPT enclosure entry where moisture or dust protection is required.

Critical Specification

The connector accepts cord diameters from .50 in to .63 in and carries CSA LR27378 and UL E54218 listings. Its aluminium body with a brown gland colour code provides a straight, insulated-free termination without external strain relief.

Fit & Alternatives

This part fits builds needing one straight aluminium connector for the stated cord range and box thread. Buyers who need a different cord diameter, a non-metallic body, an insulated throat or integrated strain relief should select another model.

Questions about this item

What cord diameters does the .50 to .63 range actually accommodate in a real installation?

The connector accepts cords from .50 in to .63 in outside diameter, so any cable within that window will seal correctly.

How does the 3/4 in MNPT box connection limit what enclosures I can use?

It threads into a standard 3/4 in NPT female hub, so the enclosure must provide that exact thread size.

What clearance does the 1 1/8 in body length need inside the box?

Allow at least 1 1/8 in from the inner wall of the enclosure to the back of the connector for a straight fit.
