Motion-Activated LED Strip Kit

This kit contains two 9.8 ft RGB LED strips designed for indoor use. A built-in PIR sensor detects movement up to 16.4 ft away across a 120 degree angle. The strips are powered by a 5 V USB supply drawing 5 watts and include adhesive backing plus a magnetic sensor box for quick mounting.

Installation Surface and Power Source

Verify the mounting area is dry and flat so the acrylic adhesive bonds securely. Ensure a USB port or 5 V adapter is available nearby because the strips require USB power. The sensor box attaches magnetically, so confirm the surface allows the box to sit within range of the strips.

Sustained Operation Behaviour

The strips run at a constant 5 watts with no active cooling, so temperature remains stable during extended use. Auto-off timers of 38, 75, 150 or 380 seconds prevent the lights from staying on indefinitely after motion stops. APP control via Bluetooth lets you adjust brightness and colour without interrupting the motion-sensing cycle.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need a separate power adapter?

Two 9.8 ft LED strips, a PIR motion-sensor control box with built-in microphone, and a USB power cable are included; plug the USB cable into any 5 V USB port or charger you already own.

Should I choose the 38 s, 75 s, 150 s or 380 s auto-off timer?

Pick 38 s for brief trips such as a hallway or wardrobe, 75 s or 150 s for bedroom or kitchen use, and 380 s for stairways or areas where you want light to linger longer.

What does the 120-degree, 16.4 ft detection range mean once the strip is mounted under my bed?

The sensor covers a 120-degree cone out to 16.4 ft, so it will trigger when you sit up or step beside the bed and turn off after the chosen delay once no further motion is detected.
