A stiff carbon-steel scraper with a 9-inch angled polypropylene handle and a 2-1/2-inch dual-edge blade for removing paint, adhesive and plaster
The Hyde 10520 is a stiff scraper built for removing paint, adhesives and other coatings from flat surfaces. Its 2-1/2 inch carbon steel blade resists bending during heavy pushing. The tool is intended for trade professionals and serious DIYers who need a durable hand scraper.
As a non-powered hand tool the scraper generates no heat, noise or electrical draw. The carbon steel blade conducts ambient temperature but does not warm up through friction in typical use. The polypropylene handle remains neutral to the touch during extended scraping sessions.
The 9-inch angled polypropylene handle keeps the wrist in a neutral position while applying forward pressure. Two usable edges on the 1/2-inch blade length double the working life before resharpening. The fixed stiff blade does not adjust, so the tool suits consistent flat-surface work rather than detail contours.

Loosen the adjustment screw, slide the old carbon steel blade out, insert the new blade with the bevel facing forward, then tighten the screw until the blade sits rigid against the angled polypropylene handle.
The carbon steel blade edges dull with heavy use; the blade itself is the only replaceable component on this tool.
The 2-1/2 inch carbon steel blade heats up and dulls first, reducing scraping speed before the handle or adjustment mechanism shows any fatigue.
