SKU CH-DYV5-XWK47

Fully buffered ECC DDR2667 memory module with 512 megabytes capacity

  • 1Gb capacity supports dense memory configurations
  • DDR2667 speed delivers 25300 MT/s data rates
  • Fully buffered architecture reduces electrical load on the memory controller
  • ECC capability detects and corrects single-bit errors

Hynix 1Gb DDR2667 Switch Module

This Hynix Hymp512F72Cp8N3-Y5 module delivers 1Gb of fully buffered ECC memory built to the DDR2667 standard. It is intended for network switches and similar wired networking equipment that require registered, error-correcting modules. The PC25300F rating confirms the rated data rate for compatible platforms. Buyers needing non-ECC or unbuffered memory for desktop or laptop use should select a different module type.

Thermals Power and Noise

As a passive memory module it has no fans or moving parts, so it adds no audible noise to the system. Heat output is limited to the normal power draw of a DDR2667 registered DIMM under typical switch workloads. Adequate airflow within the switch chassis is sufficient to keep temperatures within specification. No external cooling or special power provisioning beyond the slot supply is required.
