Storm X Desktop for Gamers and Creators

The Hyper Cyber Storm X is a pre-built gaming desktop powered by a Ryzen 5 5600X processor and an RTX 3070 graphics card with 8GB GDDR6 memory. It ships with 32GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and a 2TB NVMe SSD running on a PCIe 4.0 interface. Windows 11 Home is installed and the system is ready to use immediately.

Sustained Load Thermal Behaviour

The 600W 80+ Bronze power supply feeds the CPU and GPU under continuous gaming or rendering workloads. An air cooling solution manages heat from the 6-core processor which operates at a 3.70GHz base clock and can boost to 4.60GHz. The MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI motherboard delivers stable power delivery during extended sessions without throttling.

Compatibility Checks Before Ordering

Verify that your monitor has a DisplayPort or HDMI input compatible with the RTX 3070 output configuration. Ensure your desk space accommodates a standard ATX tower footprint and that your mains outlet can supply a 600W load. The motherboard uses an AM4 socket and DDR4 slots so future memory upgrades must match the DDR4 standard.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the 600W 80+ Bronze power supply and air cooling get when the Ryzen 5 5600X and RTX 3070 run all day?

The 600W 80+ Bronze unit and air cooling are sized for the 5600X and RTX 3070 combination. Under sustained load the fans ramp up but stay within typical gaming-desktop noise levels, and temperatures remain in the normal operating range for these components.

The motherboard is an MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI — does it need any extra parts or cables before I can boot Windows 11 Home?

No extra parts are required. The board, CPU, 32GB DDR4-3200, 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive, RTX 3070, 600W PSU and Windows 11 Home are all installed and configured. Connect a display, keyboard, mouse and power cord, then press the power button.

My current monitor only has HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2 — will the RTX 3070 still drive it at 1440p?

Yes. The RTX 3070 provides HDMI and DisplayPort outputs that are backward-compatible with HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2. You will get a signal at 1440p, though the maximum refresh rate will be limited by the older standard.
