Classic SNES-style USB gamepad

The Hyperkin Scout reproduces the original Super Nintendo layout for PC and Mac players who want an authentic retro feel with a modern USB connection. Its premium construction aims to match the durability of the 90s hardware it references.

Ten-foot cable removes distance limits

The 10 ft cable lets you sit well back from the screen without adding latency or requiring a separate extension. No batteries, charging or wireless pairing are involved, so the controller is ready the moment it is plugged in.

USB interface restricts use to host devices

The controller draws power and data from a single USB-A connection, so it cannot be used on systems that lack that port or on consoles that require proprietary authentication. Players needing wireless freedom or multi-platform pairing will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

Will the 10 ft cable need replacing if it frays?

The cable is permanently attached, so a damaged cord means replacing the entire controller.

What stops the controller during marathon sessions?

The USB port on your PC or Mac is the only power source, so a port shutdown ends play.

Does the pad get hot or loud after hours of use?

No fan or active cooling is present, so the plastic shell stays at room temperature and silent.
