Ultra-compact 60% layout for minimal desk space

The HyperX Alloy Origins 60 is a wired mechanical gaming keyboard with a 60 percent form factor that removes the function row, navigation cluster and numeric pad. It uses tactile Aqua switches and double-shot PBT keycaps. A detachable 1.8 m USB-C to USB-A braided cable connects to the host. Onboard memory stores three lighting and macro profiles.

Suits players who want a tiny footprint

The compact layout appeals to competitive gamers and users who prefer more mouse room. Builders who need dedicated arrow keys, a function row or a numeric pad should look at larger keyboards. The single USB connection and lack of wireless mean it is not suited for multi-device switching or cable-free setups.

Tactile Aqua switches

The decisive specification is the tactile Aqua switch combined with 100% anti-collision and N-key rollover, which guarantees every keystroke registers simultaneously during fast inputs. If you require linear or clicky switch feel instead, this keyboard will not match that preference.

Questions about this item

Which switch type should I pick for the Alloy Origins 60?

This model ships with tactile Aqua switches only; no linear Red or clicky Blue options are listed for this SKU.

How does the 60% layout change daily typing?

You lose the function row, navigation cluster and numeric pad, so media keys and arrows are reached through Fn layers instead of dedicated keys.

What does the USB-C to USB-A connection limit in practice?

The detachable 1.8 m braided cable plugs into a standard USB-A port, so the keyboard works on any PC with that port and needs no extra drivers for Windows 10, 8.1, 8 or 7.
