Compact 87-key layout

The HyperX Alloy Origins Core is a tenkeyless mechanical keyboard built around 87 keys, removing the numeric pad to free desk space. A solid aluminium alloy frame adds rigidity while keeping the footprint small. HyperX Ice linear switches provide crisp, direct feedback with exposed LEDs for bright per-key RGB lighting. The board connects via a wired USB cable and is suited to both left- and right-handed users.

Check USB port and software needs

Verify that your system has a free USB-A port for the wired connection before ordering. The NGENUITY customisation software runs on Windows, so confirm operating-system compatibility if you plan to remap keys, create macros or adjust lighting profiles. No additional drivers are required for basic typing and default lighting effects.

Suited to competitive FPS players

The compact form factor benefits gamers who need maximum mouse room and a centred typing position. Three onboard profiles let you carry personal settings between machines without software. Users who require a dedicated number pad, dedicated media keys or wireless connectivity should consider a full-size or feature-rich alternative.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy a wrist rest or keycap puller separately?

The package includes the 87-key TKL keyboard with HyperX Ice Shaft linear switches, a detachable USB-C cable and documentation. A wrist rest and keycap puller are not included.

Which switch option should I choose for fast FPS play?

Only the HyperX Ice Shaft linear switch is offered; it has a short, crisp actuation tuned for fingertip speed and exposed LEDs for bright RGB.

How does the 87-key layout change daily use compared to a full-size board?

Removing the numpad frees desk space for wider mouse sweeps in FPS games while keeping all essential keys; three onboard profiles let you switch lighting and macros without software.
