16" 2.5K OLED Gaming Laptop

The HyperX OMEN MAX 16 is a Windows 11 gaming laptop built around a 16-inch 2.5K OLED panel with a 240 Hz refresh rate. It pairs an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 475 processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU carrying 16 GB GDDR7 memory. 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and a 2 TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSD complete the core specification.

Who This Suits and Who Should Look Elsewhere

This machine suits gamers and creators who need high mobile frame rates on a colour-accurate 100% DCI-P3 display and want manual overclocking control via Unleashed Mode. Buyers who want more storage than 2 TB, a larger screen, or a lighter chassis for daily commuting should look elsewhere.

Discrete Graphics With 16 GB GDDR7

The single specification that decides fit is the discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU with 16 GB GDDR7 dedicated memory; it determines whether the laptop can deliver the ray-traced performance and VRAM headroom your workflow or titles require.

Questions about this item

How often do the self-cleaning fans and liquid metal thermal interface need servicing?

The self-cleaning fans and vapor chamber with liquid metal are designed to reduce long-term wear and maintenance, so no regular servicing interval is required.

What limits the RTX 5080 Laptop GPU during extended gaming sessions?

The 16 GB GDDR7 frame buffer and thermal capacity of the vapor chamber determine how long the discrete GPU can sustain boost clocks before throttling.

How loud and hot does the laptop get when the Unleashed Mode overclocking runs all day?

Unleashed Mode raises power draw and fan speed; the vapor chamber and self-cleaning fans manage heat, but sustained loads will increase both noise and surface temperature.
