16-inch 2.5K OLED gaming laptop

The HyperX OMEN MAX 16 is a 16-inch laptop with a 2.5K OLED display running at 240 Hz. It pairs an Intel Core Ultra 7 270HX processor with an NVIDIA RTX 5080 Laptop GPU carrying 16 GB GDDR7 memory. The system includes 32 GB DDR5-6400 RAM and a 1 TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSD, all running Windows 11 Home in a black chassis weighing 6.5600 lb.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This laptop suits gamers and creators who need a high-refresh OLED panel, a 20-core CPU that reaches 5.3 GHz, and a discrete RTX 5080 with 16 GB GDDR7 in a single portable unit. Buyers who want more storage than the single 1 TB drive provides, or who require a lighter machine for daily commuting, should look at other configurations.

The spec that decides fit

The 16-inch 2560 x 1600 OLED panel at 240 Hz with 0.2 ms response time and 100% DCI-P3 colour is the specification that determines whether this device matches the workflow. If the panel size, resolution, refresh rate or colour gamut do not align with the intended use, the rest of the hardware will not change the outcome.
