Product Identity

Lord of Rigel is a turn-based 4X space strategy game published by Iceberg Interactive and developed by Rhombus Studios. It delivers through a Steam code for PC and entered full release on 04 October 2022 after an early access period starting in 2016. Players guide a species through a galaxy shaped by two elder races, choosing diplomacy, espionage or conquest to secure dominance.

Audience Fit

The design suits strategy enthusiasts who enjoy deep empire management, galactic council politics and asymmetric races with unique leaders. Buyers who want real-time combat, fast-paced action or a game playable without a Steam account should look at something else. The download format also means no physical media is included for collectors.

Deciding Specification

The product activates on Steam only in the countries listed in the specifications, which exclude the United Kingdom, European Union members, Russia, Japan and many other territories. A valid Steam account is mandatory for installation. Verify your region against the blocked list before purchase, because the code will not redeem in restricted locations.

Questions about this item

How much power does the downloadable code consume while the game runs all day?

The product is a digital licence, not a hardware device, so it draws no power itself; the host PC's consumption depends on its own components.

What must I already own to activate and play Lord of Rigel?

A Windows PC with a Steam account, a quad-core Intel or AMD processor at 2.5 GHz, 8 GB RAM, and a graphics card supporting DirectX 11.

Will the Steam key work on my older Windows Vista or Windows 7 installation?

Yes, the minimum specification lists Windows Vista, 7 and 8 as supported operating systems for activation and play.
