Twist-On Wire Connectors 22-14 AWG

The IDEAL 30-073 twist-on wire cap connectors join solid or stranded copper conductors in residential and light commercial wiring. Each orange polypropylene shell accepts wire sizes from 22 AWG up to 14 AWG. The package contains one hundred connectors for larger projects or ongoing maintenance work.

Spring Design and Safety Ratings

A zinc-plated steel spring inside each connector grips the conductors without the need for separate tools. The insulation carries a UL 94 V-2 flammability rating and the product is both UL Listed and CSA Certified for 600 volt maximum applications. Maximum operating temperature is 221 degrees Fahrenheit.

Capacity Range and Limitations

The connector handles a minimum combination of one 18 AWG with one 20 AWG wire and a maximum of two 14 AWG wires, with up to five conductors total per connector. It does not suit wire gauges larger than 14 AWG or installations requiring a higher voltage rating than 600 V.
