The Ideal 30-074 is a standard-style twist-on wire connector rated for 600 V and copper conductors. Its yellow colour coding identifies the 18 AWG to 12 AWG range, making it suitable for residential and light commercial electrical splicing. The polypropylene shell carries a UL 94 V-2 flammability rating and meets both UL Listed and CSA Certified standards.

Tool-free installation with steel zinc-plated spring

Installation requires only hand-twisting the connector onto stripped copper wires; no special tools are needed. The internal steel spring with zinc finish grips combinations from two 18 AWG conductors up to four 14 AWG plus one 18 AWG, with a maximum single-wire capacity of 8 AWG. Over-stuffing beyond the six-conductor limit or mixing undersized wires can weaken the mechanical hold and electrical contact.
