Red twist-on wire connectors join copper conductors from 18 to 10 AWG, rated for 600 V and 221 °F, UL listed and CSA certified, in a pack of 100
These twist-on wire connectors join solid or stranded copper conductors in residential and light-commercial electrical work. The red polypropylene shell covers a zinc-plated steel spring that grips wires from 18 AWG up to 10 AWG. Each pack contains one hundred connectors for jobs that require many splices.
The 30-076 replaces smaller connectors when a splice exceeds their maximum wire combination or conductor count. It is worth the jump when a junction box calls for up to six conductors or a mix that reaches four 12 AWG wires. The 600 V rating and 221 °F temperature limit match standard branch-circuit requirements.
The connector accepts a minimum of two 14 AWG wires and a maximum of four 12 AWG wires, with a single-wire limit of 6 AWG. It runs out of capacity when the combined conductor fill pushes the spring beyond its six-conductor maximum or when voltage exceeds 600 V. UL 94 V-2 flammability rating and CSA certification confirm code compliance.

The 30-076 accepts 18 to 10 AWG copper wire, with a minimum of two 14 AWG and a maximum of four 12 AWG conductors, up to six conductors total.
Strip each copper conductor, align the ends, push them into the red polypropylene cap and twist clockwise until the steel-zinc insert grips firmly; the step often missed is verifying no bare wire remains exposed outside the connector.
Replace any 30-076 that shows melted or cracked polypropylene insulation, discoloured steel-zinc contacts, or has been subjected to temperatures above 221 °F, since the UL 94 V-2 rating and 600 V limit no longer apply.
