Compact Cable Stripper for Electricians

The Ideal 45-025 is a 3 1/2 in cable stripper built for professionals who need to strip, cut and loop solid or stranded wire in the 26 to 12 AWG range. Its manual adjustable design lets the user set the stripping depth for each job without changing tools.

Elastomer Grip and Tether Ready

An elastomer grip reduces hand fatigue during repetitive stripping tasks, while a standard tether accessory allows the tool to be secured to a belt or lanyard when not in use. The compact length keeps it comfortable in tight panels and junction boxes.

Tether Accessory Included

The bundled tether accessory means the stripper can be fastened in place, reducing the chance of drops on site. No additional software or calibration is required, so the tool is ready for immediate use out of the package.

Questions about this item

What AWG range does the Ideal 45-025 cable stripper handle, and what wire types does it cover?

It strips solid and stranded wire from 26 to 12 AWG, letting you prepare both thin signal leads and thicker power conductors with one tool.

What is the overall length of the Ideal 45-025, and does it include a tether point?

The tool measures 3 1/2 inches long and ships with a standard tether accessory so you can secure it to a lanyard or belt loop.

How do you set the stripping depth on the Ideal 45-025, and what mistake should you avoid?

Adjust the manual stop to match the insulation thickness, then squeeze the handles; the common error is leaving the stop too deep, which nicks the conductor.
