Strips 10 to 18 AWG solid wire with form-ground, hardened knife-type blades, built-in cutter, looping holes, plier nose, spring-loaded opening and corrosion-resistant black oxide finish
The Ideal 45-120 is a hand tool designed for electricians and technicians who need to strip insulation from solid wire. It handles wire gauges from 10 to 18 AWG using form-ground, hardened knife-type blades. The tool includes a built-in wire cutter and plier nose for extra gripping strength. Spring-loaded automatic opening reduces hand fatigue during repetitive tasks.
This stripper is calibrated only for solid conductors between 10 and 18 AWG. Stranded or flexible cables fall outside the specified wire type and may not strip cleanly. The laser-etched gauge markings help identify the correct slot quickly. No other wire sizes or insulation types are supported by the factory settings.
No assembly is required; the tool works straight from the package. Users must match the wire to the exact marked gauge slot to avoid damaging the conductor. Applying excessive force on oversized wire can dull the knife-type blades. The black oxide finish resists corrosion but does not prevent wear from misuse.

The wire stripper handles solid wire from 10 AWG to 18 AWG; the supplier title also lists a 10-20 AWG range.
The markings show the exact gauge slots so you match the blade to the wire size and avoid nicking the conductor.
The spring returns the handles after each cut, reducing hand fatigue when processing multiple 10-18 AWG solid wires.
