Ideal SAE 32 hose clamp pack

This pack contains ten worm-gear hose clamps sized to SAE 32 specifications. Each clamp fits hose diameters from 1-1/2 inches minimum to 2-1/2 inches maximum. They are designed for automotive, industrial and general plumbing connections. The clamps are supplied new in a bulk package of ten pieces.

1/2 inch band with 35 in-lb install torque

The 1/2 inch wide band is formed from 201/301 stainless steel with rectangular slots for smooth worm engagement. Band thickness measures .022 inches. Installation torque is rated at 35 in-lb. The housing uses the same 201/301 stainless steel while the 5/16 inch screw is 410 stainless steel. This combination resists corrosion in coolant, fuel and water systems.

SAE 32 size range 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 inches

The decisive specification is the SAE 32 size range covering 1-1/2 inch minimum to 2-1/2 inch maximum diameter. Clamps outside this range will not seal correctly on the intended hose. Buyers needing smaller or larger diameters must select a different SAE size. This pack addresses only the SAE 32 window.

Questions about this item

Will these clamps fit the 1-1/2 inch minimum diameter hoses I already use?

Yes, the minimum clamp diameter is 1 1/2 inches and the maximum is 2 1/2 inches, covering that hose size.

How do I verify the 35 in-lb install torque is reached when tightening the 5/16 inch screw?

Use a torque wrench set to 35 in-lb on the 5/16 inch screw head; the rectangular band slots help maintain even pressure.

Does the pack of 10 include any installation tools or just the stainless steel clamps?

The package contains 10 worm gear clamps with 201/301 stainless band and housing plus 410 stainless screws; no tools are included.
