iFixit Keyboard Cleaning Kit

Kit Contents and Purpose

The iFixit Keyboard Cleaning Kit bundles microfiber cloths, two anti-static brushes, a dust blower and a keycap puller inside a tool pouch. It is designed for anyone who wants to maintain mechanical or membrane keyboards without risking damage to switches or circuitry. The included puller makes deep cleaning under keycaps straightforward for enthusiasts and office users alike.

Compatibility Check

Before ordering, verify that your keycaps use a standard cross-stem design so the supplied puller can grip them safely. Low-profile or laptop scissor-switch caps often require a different removal tool and may not be suitable for this kit. Ensure you have a clean, flat workspace to lay out removed caps and small parts during the process.

Sustained Use Behaviour

The anti-static brushes and microfiber cloths retain their cleaning effectiveness over repeated sessions and can be washed or shaken out between uses. The dust blower provides consistent airflow without the moisture or propellant residue associated with canned air. All components store securely in the pouch, so the kit remains complete and ready for regular maintenance cycles.
