Capacitive 30 mm proximity sensor
This capacitive cylindrical proximity sensor detects objects up to 15 mm away without physical contact. It operates on 20 to 250 V AC/DC and suits industrial automation tasks where non-metallic or metallic targets must be sensed reliably. The normally open output switches when a target enters the detection zone.
IP65 PBT housing with 2 m cable
The unshielded sensor body is moulded from PBT and rated IP65, resisting dust ingress and low-pressure water jets in harsh environments. A fixed 2 m two-wire cable provides the electrical connection, simplifying wiring in cabinets or on machines where plug-in connectors would add bulk or failure points.
25 Hz AC and 40 Hz DC switching limits
The sensor switches at 25 Hz on AC supplies and 40 Hz on DC supplies, setting the maximum detection rate for fast-moving parts. Output current is limited to 250 mA on AC and 200 mA on DC, so the load must stay within these bounds. Operating temperature spans -13 to 158 °F.

Questions about this item
What is the maximum detecting distance of the 30 mm capacitive proximity sensor?
The sensor detects targets up to 15 mm away under standard conditions.
What are the physical dimensions and mounting requirements for the KI0202 sensor?
The cylindrical case is 30 mm in diameter and 99 mm long, made of PBT plastic, and requires an unshielded mounting clearance.
How is the sensor wired and what common mistake should be avoided during installation?
It uses a 2-wire 2 m cable for a 20 to 250 V AC/DC supply; ensure the load does not exceed 250 mA AC or 200 mA DC to avoid damage.
