Purpose-built VR link cable

This 20 ft nylon-braided cable connects an Oculus Quest or Quest 2 headset to a gaming PC for PC-VR titles via Oculus Link. The right-angled USB-C plug reduces strain on the headset port during active play. It carries both high-speed data and charging current in a single run.

USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface limits

The link operates at up to 5 Gbps, matching the USB 3.2 Gen 1 specification used by the Oculus Link software. Sustained throughput above 1,333 Mbit/s has been verified in testing. The 6 m length reaches the practical maximum for copper at this signalling rate without active signal conditioning.

60 W power delivery and 20 ft reach

The cable supplies up to 3 A at 18.5 V (60 W), letting the headset charge while streaming VR content from Steam VR or the Oculus platform. The 20 ft span gives room-scale freedom, but copper attenuation at 5 Gbps means longer runs would require an active or optical extension.

Questions about this item

Which length should I pick for my Quest 2 setup?

The cable is offered as a single 20ft (6M) length, giving you the full reach for room-scale VR without shorter alternatives to choose from.

What does the 5Gbps rating mean when I am actually playing?

In practice the link sustains over 1333 Mbit/s, so the headset receives compressed video fast enough for smooth, low-latency gameplay while the headset charges at the same time.

What does the USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface cap in real use?

The USB 3.2 Gen 1 connection tops out at 5Gbps and delivers up to 18.5V at 3A (60W), so data and charging run simultaneously without exceeding the cable’s rated limits.
