The IHDAPP AC600M adds dual-band wireless networking and Bluetooth to a desktop or laptop through a standard USB port. It installs its own driver software automatically on Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, so no separate download or disc is required. The compact black dongle includes a mini CD for Vista or Mac OS installations where automatic setup is not supported.

Plug-and-play integration

Because the adapter draws power and data from a single USB connection, it needs no internal slot, antenna cable or external power supply. The built-in dual-band antenna keeps the device small enough to stay inserted on a laptop or protrude only slightly from a desktop chassis. AP mode is supported, allowing the host computer to share its wired connection as a wireless hotspot.

Speed and frequency headroom

The RTL8821CU chip delivers up to 433 Mbps on the 5.8 GHz band and 150 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band, giving a combined nominal rate of 600 Mbps. The higher band suits HD video streaming and low-latency gaming, while the lower band handles everyday browsing and chat.
