Mirror cabinet with integrated lighting

The IKEA FAXÄLVEN mirror cabinet in brown oak effect measures 24 by 37 centimetres and mounts on a supplied suspension rail. Integrated lighting runs around the outside and inside of the doors. It is designed to store bathroom essentials behind two hinged doors and on an open lower shelf.

Dimmable with RODRET wireless dimmer

Brightness is adjustable only when the separate RODRET wireless dimmer and power switch is added. Without that accessory the built-in LEDs operate at a fixed level. The cabinet ships with the lighting hardware installed and ready for connection.

Soft-close hinges and safety-film mirror

Hinges with integrated dampers catch each door and close it slowly, silently and softly under daily use. The mirror glass carries a safety film on the back that holds fragments together if the glass breaks. The construction aligns with the HAVBÄCK, ÄNGSJÖN and TÄNNFORSEN bathroom series.

Questions about this item

How bright is the built-in lighting in daily use?

Integrated LEDs run around the outside and inside of the cabinet, making it easier to see yourself while getting ready. The light is dimmable when paired with the RODRET wireless dimmer, sold separately.

What does the RODRET dimmer connect to and what does it control?

The RODRET wireless dimmer and power switch pair with the cabinet’s integrated lighting so you can adjust brightness or turn the lights on and off without wiring a wall switch.

What wall fixing is included and how much space does the cabinet need?

A suspension rail is supplied; secure it to the wall, hang the cabinet on the rail, then fasten it. The unit measures 24 cm wide by 37 cm high, so allow at least that footprint plus clearance for the door swing.
