IKEA HÄCKSAX Step Trash Can White 2 Gallon 80553600

What this step bin is and who it suits

The IKEA HÄCKSAX step trash can in white offers a two-gallon capacity for frequent, small-volume waste such as cans and packaging. A rear overhang provides a secure grip so the bin can be moved easily around the kitchen or bathroom. It is designed for households that sort waste close to the sink to reduce spills. The lid opens by pedal for hands-free use.

Who should consider it and who should not

This bin suits kitchens or bathrooms where a compact, pedal-operated container fits neatly beside the sink for daily sorting. Households that generate larger volumes of waste between emptying will find the two-gallon capacity too small. Buyers who want more storage or a bin that accepts standard tall kitchen bags without folding should look at larger models.

The capacity that decides fit

The two-gallon volume is the single figure that determines whether this bin matches your routine. If you empty waste several times a day and prefer a slim footprint, the capacity works. If you prefer fewer trips to the outside bin, the same capacity will feel restrictive. The product number 80553600 identifies this exact model.
