Smart shortcut button for IKEA Home scenes

The SOMRIG remote is a white, battery-powered button that triggers up to six scenes saved in the IKEA Home smart app. It is designed for anyone who wants instant, tactile control over lighting, blinds, speakers or air-quality devices without unlocking a phone. Each press type — single, double or long — can launch a different scene, making it suited to bedside, hallway or kitchen use.

Requires DIRIGERA hub

The button communicates with the IKEA smart ecosystem but cannot operate as a standalone Wi-Fi or Bluetooth device. You must pair it to a DIRIGERA hub or a TRÅDFRI gateway before scenes can be assigned in the app. Without one of those hubs the remote has no connectivity path to your smart products, so it is not suitable for homes that rely on other brands' bridges or direct cloud control.

Wall-mountable design with matching accessory range

A mounting plate is included so the remote can be fixed to a wall or cabinet side, keeping it visible and within reach. The white finish matches the RODRET and STYRBAR remotes, allowing a consistent look when multiple controllers sit on a fridge, sofa table or hallway console. The compact, button-only form factor has no display or dial, so interaction is limited to the three press actions programmed in the app.
